Firmware for stepper motor controllers and drivers

This page contains descriptions of firmware options and changes, which are available for our motor drivers and controllers. Please, contact us if need special firmware version.

V.2 Base actual firmware – available since July 2021

The base version V1 has been supplemented with a function to limit the minimum and maximum speed values. Since July 2021 this version is base.

V.1 Firmware version since entering the market until July 2021:

The driver provides 4 operation modes:

  • Analog speed control
  • Analog position control
  • STEP/DIR position control
  • Constant speed rotation

The base version V2 has been supplemented with a function of getting software and hardware version. Some minor changes have been done.

Firmware for BLDC controllers and drivers

V3 – available upon request since June 2021

The base version V2 has been supplemented with a function of scaling the analog speed control signal. Now it is possible to adjust the analog speed control signal for low speed and high speed BLDC motors.

The base firmware has 4 control options of START and DIR input signal logic. The needed option can be activated by use of the internal Jumper.

V.BMD-20DIN-MAIN (V.BMD-40DIN-MAIN) Base actual firmware

The base firmware has 4 control options of START and DIR input signal logic. The needed option can be activated by use of the internal Jumper.

V.BMD-20DIN-A (V.BMD-40DIN-A) - available upon a request

The base version V.BMD-20DIN-MAIN has been modified – in case of input voltage alarm the controller restarts automatically when the voltage recovers to the allowed range.

V.BMD-20DIN-B (V.BMD-40DIN-B) - available upon a request

The base version V.BMD-20DIN-MAIN has been modified – transition to an emergency mode and motor deenergizing in case the current exceeds the specified threshold for more than 0.5 sec. During this time interval the motor current is limited to 200% of the set value.

V.BMD-20DIN-L (V.BMD-40DIN-L) - available upon a request

This firmware version is for operation with linear DC actuators. This version is included to all base and modified versions as a part of the firmware. Set the internal jumper START-pin and remove the jumper DIR-pin to activate this mode in the base firmware version.
