Description of motor brake BRAKE-BWA-0.35-5

BRAKE-BWA is an electrically operated spring-loaded brake with an extremely compact design for use as a static holding brake. We offer two brake sizes to be installed directly to motors with a shaft diameter of 5 or 6.35 mm: BRAKE-BWA-0.35-5 and BRAKE-BWA-1.5-6.35

The holding brakes by Nanotec have a compact flange design and asbestos-free friction linings. They are wear resistant and easy to install thanks to their pre-adjusted air gap. For releasing, brakes require a voltage of 24 VDC. Integrated brakes with a connector plug are also suitable for operation in harsh environmental conditions (IP54) and allow quick and error-free wiring.

The brakes can be mounted directly to a motor shaft. If the motor has a long B shaft, an encoder can also be mounted directly on the brake. As the brake comes with threaded holes, no additional adapter plate is necessary. The model is available in two lengths.

The brakes can only be ordered with a motor.
