Control methods | STEP/DIR, analog input |
Version | in an open housing with DIN clamp |
Stepper motor driver SMD-4.2 with DIN clamp is manufactured in an open case. A frameless version of the driver is also supplied. The driver is compact and lightweight and implemented with small in size open housing. The operation of the stepper motor with the driver is characterized by low vibration and noise. The driver is designed for smooth movement of the stepper motor with microstepping up to 1/256, provides excellent dynamics and high motor torque.

Description of the stepper motor SMD‑4.2 open frame version
Stepper motor control methods:
- Pulse position control
Pulse position control of the stepper motor is provided by standard logic signals STEP/DIR and ENABLE.
- Analog speed control
Analog stepper motor speed control can be done in two ways:
- external voltage signal 0 - 10 VDC;
- built-in potentiometer
FAULT output
The output signal "FLT" is intended to monitor the state of the driver. In the normal state, the resistance between the "FLT" and "GND" terminals tends to infinity. In the event of an emergency, the resistance between the terminals is 0.045 ohms.
